Please note that biographical details of Otto Seeman are still being researched. They will be posted here as soon as they are available.

These postcards were mailed home to Germany from France by Otto Seeman. Otto was born 25-Feb-1894 near Kiel, Germany.

Most of these postcards were sent to his fiance, Amanda. Otto, a gardner by trade, emigrated to the US in 1932 and settled in Ridgefield, CT. He had three children; Max, Henry, and Margarethe. He died in 1966 at the age of 72. Amanda is alive and well at the time of this writing (8-Sep-1996).

An intresting note on the last postcard displayed below: it's Otto's unit after being captured by the French in 1916.

The images below are actual size. Please e-mail me if you can help with the translation of contents.
